Tiny meteorites are everywhere. Here's how to find them.

As most metal detectorists in the UK and Europe search using metal detectors with the discrimination turned up, people metal detecting this side of the pond have probably walked right over, or even discarded, hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of meteorites. Not only are meteorites highly collectable, but they are also very important to scientists. Many meteorites originate in the asteroid belt, some come from other planets, like the famous Martian meteorite that was found a few years ago that may or may not have contained evidence of life on the red planet.

Would you know a meteorite if found one?
