Hi all,
It's my birthday this Bank Holiday weekend and I need to get another metal detector because I will take my son to the next Essex Raly we see and we will look rather silly with one detector between us.
His Nan bought him a Garrett Ace 150 for Christmas which I have used 99.9% of the time and although I'm no expert I was hoping for some advice on a slightly more advanced machine around the Ã,£200 mark.
What are the Fisher and Viking detrectors like? What about C-Scope?
I look forward to your informative replies.
Many thanks - Dave.
Hmm..read 457 times and not 1 reply? Helpful lol.
I am afraid that real life gets in the way of taking care of these forums sometimes.
But what I always say when people are looking for a better detector on a limited budget is to buy one second hand. Buying second hand from one of the dealers is probably the safest bet as they will all offer some kind of warranty. You will get a better machine for less money this way. The back pages of The Searcher and Treasure Hunting Magazine always have second hand listings from the major dealers.
You would need to give a rough idea of your budget, what your detecting interest is (Beach, land, both, parks, everything, coin, artifacts, jewelry, ), what weight the detector could be (i.e. your ability to carry and swing it for long periods of time), etc.,
In other words, a lot more info, and if you mind going for a more upmarket secondhand as opposed to a new but less advanced detector ?
