HI all.

Is anyone able to identify this coin? I am not a detectorist yet but having discovered this on a building site while working i now suddenly have an interest...

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers...

Roman Ron

Hi Monty,  what you have here is a silver Groat (fourpence) of one of the Henries, (probably Henry VI 1422-1461 and 1470-1471) get yourself a detector and check the site out

Thanks Ron!

I am Australian and to think that this coin is nearly 3 times older than my country amazes me! Thanks for your help!
